Matt Scott is a consulting actuary with Axene Health Partners and is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Matt is passionate about providing a high-quality work product and delivering actionable insights.

Prior to joining Axene Health Partners, Matt gained extensive experience working for UnitedHealth Group’s managed care arm, Optum Health. Matt held a variety of roles within Optum Health, culminating in an Actuarial Director role where he owned all actuarial reporting covering Optum Health’s medical expense. This included key takeaways regarding monthly financial results, forward looking forecasts/budgets, and tracking of material affordability initiatives. Several topics covered in Matt’s reporting informed talking points delivered by Optum Health leadership in UHG earnings calls.

Matt and his family live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where they enjoy reading, staying active, and spending time outside.

Matt also enjoys serving as a mentor for the Actuarial Foundation’s STEM Stars program and a grader for the Society of Actuaries’ Advanced Topics in Predictive Analytics course.
